The Plague

Known as the most notorious pandemics in human history, the plague first emerged in Europe in the mid fourteenth century and continued to spread sporadically throughout until the eighteenth century. The cause and spread of the disease, that killed 25 million people in the first wave alone, was never understood until years later.
